I would like to report on the last fleet race of December this year. We had 3 competitors, Motohiro, Naito-kun, and Tsutsumi. The commitees were Massan, Sakka, and Ma-chan.
Due to the coldest weather we've had all year, we're a little 🤏lonely🤏 that there were so few racers participating!
The course consisted of two laps of the upper and lower sausages and took about 25 minutes.
The first race started at 11:45 am with a west-northwest wind.
The wind speed was 4 mph and it was a dead heat between Motohiro-san and Tsutsumi, with Tsutsumi in first place, Motohiro-san in second, and Naito in third.
In the second race, the wind rose to 7 mph and whitecaps appeared.
The committee member, Mr. Massan, asked if we were still going to race, so we asked him to give us one more race, as we wanted to beat Naito-kun.
As the wind dropped a little, Tsutsumi concentrated on not widening the gap with Naito-kun, who was leading the race, and hiked out. At the last mark, just before the bottom mark, Naito-kun jibed and a blow came in, and he was chucked right in front of Tsutsumi.
At that moment, I was so happy, so happy, I could not contain myself. I was so excited for the first time in a long time ❗After that, I was careful not to be overtaken by Naito-kun, and only Naito-kun. The moment I finished was the best feeling ever❣
